Apollo 11 returned to Earth and landed in the Pacific Ocean on July 24, 1969.
This is a tribute to the courage of the astronauts of Apollo 11 mission. They not only got a great step for mankind on the moon, but also returned safely to Earth.
In this set we find the Apollo command module floating in the Pacific Ocean, while the astronauts are rescued by a boat from the Navy.
The command module has a hatch, where you can see an astronaut. The hatch can be opened.
The details of the interior of the module can be seen, as the top can be removed easily. Inside the command module has controls and computers and it fit all 3 astronauts seated.
There are 6 minifigures: three astronauts, two sailors and a shark.
