Robot Rescue and Recovery Vehicle (RRRV1)

I've often wondered how long it will be before we see robots assisting in real rescue and recovery situations.  So I built this machine, a robot driven vehicle equipped with a recovery harpoon which can be fired to grab and remove obstacles, and winched back in again.

It has first aid kits, fire extinguishers, thermal imaging equipment and an axe.  The vehicle has 4 wheel steering, and steers just like a tank using two levers.   And with the addition of motors, lights and remote control, it will really look like the robot is driving.

A whole range of rescue vehicles is possible using the same robot, some more suited for mountain rescue, some for seabed recovery and others for environmental cleanup scenarios.
