This is a model of Thomas Jefferson's plantation home in Virginia. It is an elegant home with beautiful architecture. I toured the building a while back, and loved it, so I decided to model the historic home out of Lego. I built this model digitally in a Lego design program, and am eager to get the right maroon/dark-red colors to build it for real.
I think this would make a really good addition to the Lego architecture line because it combines architecture from the colonial US, as well as various aspects from French, and classic European structures. A few additional windows could easily be added with stickers to make the model more accurate, but I really like the way this model turned out, I hope you can enjoy it too!
