This redbrick castle is the embodiment of my love and admiration for redbrick Gothic. I once traveled through the Baltic region and simply fell in love with the centuries-old redbrick castles built by the then mighty Teutonic Order. In particular, I was amazed and inspired by such iconic strongholds as Malbork, Kwidzyn and Gniew in Poland.

My castle has four different facades with Gothic arches and windows. One of them has the traditional Teutonic geometric pattern represented by the black brickwork. You can find it in most of their castles across the Baltics. The castle also has four corner towers. The model is designed to be opened. So you can move parts to the side to see the cobbled courtyard and a gallery supported by pillars with stone gargouilles. I tried to convey the general idea of the courtyard, outlining the main aspects without going into detail. I did not want to make my model too heavy and detailed. I put the main emphasis on the exterior of the castle.

I believe that this beautiful redbrick castle would certainly please castle enthusiasts and, once assembled, could become a true focal point of any home!
