Shearing Shed

This is a shearing shed, an essential part of any sheep farm. Sheep start in large holding pens in the rear of the shed, the sheep are then moved forward into catching pens, where the shearers catch the sheep to shear, the shorn sheep are then sent down a race with other shorn sheep. The shearers stand on a raised floor so the Sheep's fleece is easier for the assistants to pick up. The fleece is then taken and classed, so it can be placed with fleeces of similar quality. I was inspired to build this model because there are few LEGO sets that are oriented around a farm setting, however it would fit in with other LEGO farm sets. This could also be educational to people who are not from a rural or farm oriented background.
