Welcome to 623 East 68th Street Apartment 3D! On October 15, 1951 I Love Lucy aired and the world fell in love! This build includes the includes the iconic living room, the kitchen where Lucy makes Ricky breakfast every morning before he heads to the Tropicana, and the Ricardo's bedroom where Lucy reads murder mystery books! This set includes Lucy and Ricky Ricardo and Fred and Ethel Mertz!
I built this set because I grew up watching re-runs of I Love Lucy with my Grandma. Everyday after school I would rush home and turn on the TV and watch I Love Lucy for hours! It brought back a lot of nostalgia for me, down to the details of the train tickets Lucy left when they went to Europe to the stacks of newspaper that never got canceled when they went to Hollywood. I hope that you relive your favorite Lucy moments with this set as I did while building it. I spent a lot of time re-watching my favorite episodes and I decided to build this set in the black and white setting to stay true to the time period for the show.
