Indigo Island

A castaway sailor washes ashore on an enchanting tropical paradise and decides he better make a camp before nightfall only to find the local Islanders!

Here the islanders protect an ancient ruin from a long-ago empire, maintaining it and keeping the golden sun disk at the top of the pyramid safe from any who dares try to take it. The islanders reside in a tiki hut whenever they are not at the pyramid or canoeing around the island. Here they grow pineapples and tend to the pigs who love to swim in the clear Caribbean water. The island is home to many different animals and types of lush tropical trees. A true paradise!

The pyramid is the centerpiece of the island! Highly ornate, it is covered in statues of feathered serpents and murals with a golden sun disk at the very top guarded by a fierce warrior.

The tiki hut is where the islanders stay and is itself a piece of art. Decorated with brightly painted wooden tikis this little home is fit for a king!

The beach where the castaway washed up on is a slice of paradise! White sands and tall palm trees as far as the eye can see. Even a stone statue can be seen peering out of the jungle... I wonder who made that?

And finally, behind the island is a rocky cliff. The rocks make a perfect home for a seagull and various different types of sea life.

I absolutely love tropical islands and ruins. It's just a perfect setting for adventure and excitement. With just this one island countless different stories can be made, and the vibrant tropical scene is perfect for display too. This model is inspired greatly by Mesoamerican architecture which is something that Lego has rarely touched on making this model quite unique and that is why I think this is a perfect set to hit the shelves!
