Renault 5 Maxi Turbo

The Renault 5 Maxi Turbo was another of the Group B legends. It raced alongside brilliant cars like the Peugeot 205 Turbo 16, Lancia Delta S4, Lancia 037, MG Metro 6R4 and many many more. It produced over 350 bhp, a staggering amount for such a small car, and was able to win the 1985 Tour de Corse world rally championship, driven by French rally drivers Jean Ragnotti and Jean Marc Andrie. This humble car is a brilliant tribute to French rallying and deserves more recognition than it currently has.

I built this small car because i am on a mission to recreate all the Group B rally legends in 8-wide Speed Champions scale and i have already designed a few of them. This car is a magnificent example of French design and engineering and deserves a place on any persons Lego racetrack, either child or adult, as this car is for all ages. It will bring joy to those who have privilege of bringing this little Lego car to life and giving this car what it truly deserves. It should be made into a Lego set because it is a great car with red white and blue livery, which are the colours of the french flag, and it will help extinguish the loneliness with which the Audi Sport Quattro S1 currently feels, having no competition from other group B legends.
