The Atlas 3000 is inspired by the amazing work carried out by Boston Dynamics.
I have always been amazed at the human like movement that the current Atlas Robot is able to replicate, so it was only fitting that a LEGO Model made in its image incorporated as much articulation as possible.
The model has over 32 points of articulation and uses a variety of techniques to achieve strong and reliable joint mechanisms that emulate the human body as closely as possible. The abdomen alone has 8 friction pistons that allows the model to replicate even the most difficult human poses.
Designed to be a display piece that sits, stands or anything in between, the model aims to push the limits of what is possible with the LEGO Bricks.
