Leeds Playhouse

This creation is based on a real building in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England, UK. I was aiming for a faithful recreation of the new entrance exterior to enjoy as a display, but with the insides re-imagined to allow for play!
The scale is minifigure based so that it would look at home next to the official Icons modular series, however this doesn't connect to modulars via a Technic pin, instead it would break up a modular street display with two alleys either side. It also breaks away from the "sealed in" modular style leaning more to a City style accessible rear.

I built this to further my deepening love for real world architecture and because I'm proud of Yorkshire!

I think it will appeal to fans of Lego City and Icons modular series in general, but also more specifically to fans of building architecture.
The build is (mostly) relatively straightforward and could be appropriate for younger builders but there are a few nuggets of technically difficult elements that more experienced (or very patient) builders could enjoy.
The most difficult part being the multicoloured fascia panels comprised of 1x2 slopes held together by the frame and back panel surrounding them.

This was created using Stud.io and comprises of 2912 parts in 48 colours.
Most of this build is in existing colours and entirely made using current (not rare) part shapes. (Although new recolours would be needed for a handful of parts.) There are 2 custom prints on a 1x2 white tile "fire exit" sign and the "Leeds Playhouse" logo on a 6x6 glass for window in trans clear.

Dimensions are W 51.2cm H 35.4cm L 13.4cm

There are 10 minifigs but plenty of room to add more of your own to make the Playhouse busy!

I hope you enjoy this digital build. If this makes it to 3k (more supports than any of my other creations so far) I'll make a real brick version and share images in an update!

With much love to supporters, commenters and the Ideas community at large:
