Hello everyone, this is my first Lego Ideas project and I hope you'll like it!
The main part of the set is the ice rink, split in two separate parts: a part dedicated to playing ice hockey and a bigger part for those who want to skate for fun. The ice rink is decorated with a Christmas tree. At the entrance, there are 2 huts: one for renting skates and ice hockey equipment and a second one with hot beverages and other treats for the skaters. The set has 2500 bricks.
I chose to build this particular set because I really like winter, and skating and I absolutely love playing ice hockey! This sport is a major thing in my country and actually these seasonal ice rinks are everywhere in winter, so people can enjoy spending time outdoors with their friends. Last winter I paid particular attention to all details , so I could recreate the amazing athmosphere as much as I could!
I really believe this set is great. It is simple, and beautiful and if I did my job right, then anyone building it will get to feel some of the magic of a winter day spent skating outdoors with their friends!
