Help your fellow builder by leaving your feedback based on these three criteria:
- Originality: How original is this - never seen before?
- Building Techniques: How much skill do you think the creator of this MOC has, in terms of building technique?
- Details: Express how much you like the details of the build.
Your feedback is only shown to the creator as well as yourself. It is not available for other users to see. The creator won't see your user name.

Jason is a 6500 meter rated Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) operated by the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) in Woods Hole, Massachusetts. The vehicle was designed and built in 2002 and has completed over 800 dives. His job is to provide a platform for scientists to remotely reach the ocean floor and gather observations and obtain samples to further understand our oceans, the Earth, and ultimately the universe. Jason has been diving to undersea volcanos, hydrothermal vent fields, shipwrecks, and many other areas of interest.
Features include:
Two operating six function manipulators
Cameras on working pan and tilts
Fully functioning swing arms and science basket
Spinning propellers
Set of push cores
As a pilot of Jason myself, I wanted to celebrate this relatively unknown icon by designing a Lego replica and hopefully bring Ocean Science and Engineering to a wider audience.
Thank you very much for supporting this project!
