The Wizard of Oz: Brain, Heart, and Courage

We're off to see the Wizard, the Wonderful Wizard of Oz! For nearly 85 years, The Wizard of Oz has been an American pop-culture staple and a favorite of fans young and old.

Since I was young, both The Wizard of Oz and LEGO have been a huge part of my life. When I wasn't building official sets (of which I had too many to count), I often found myself building my own replicas of the land of Oz using my own large collection of LEGO. With the official introduction of The Wizard of Oz to the LEGO universe with LEGO Dimensions and later the collectable Minifigures, it felt like the perfect time to work on this set to commemorate my favorite film!

As an AFOL, I love how some of the new LEGO sets are focusing more on display than play, and has brought the artistic quality of LEGO to the public eye as a way to commemorate some of the icons of American pop-culture. I feel this set perfectly combines this approach to a LEGO set; a fantastic display piece that celebrates one of the greatest films of all time.
