Hey there, fellow LEGO designers. This would be my fourth submitted model, and it's not like the rest that I've done, so I hope you like it! It is a reboot of the classic TIE Defender from the Star Wars Imperial Era.
Inspired by Delta-class JV-7 Escort-Shuttle by PerryBaris
This model was done simply by looking at images, and using my TIE Advanced Prototype set as a base for the cockpit. It was a simple build and I like how it turned out, but there are a few flaws. The wings are thicker than I expected, and there are no cross lines from the bottom to the top like there should be. The lines are diagonal though, so I don't believe that I would have been capable of pulling them off.
The base combining the pod to the wings is not as big as represented, but with the design technique I used, I don't see how they would be.The pod itself has a nice round design loosely based off the TIE AP's pod.The engine on back also came out quite similar to the original Lego Tie Defender, only a little different this time.
This set also should come with 1 TIE Fighter Pilot minifigure, and maybe an Imperial crew member.
If you like Star Wars and starships you should really check out the Delta-class JV-7 Escort-Shuttle, it's one of the coolest possible sets I've ever seen and it's minifigure sized.
