The Wright Glider: The First Powered Flight

"The desire to fly is an idea handed down to us by our ancestors who, in their grueling travels
across trackless lands in prehistoric times, looked enviously on the birds soaring freely through."
—Orville Wright

Prepare for a high-flying set as we celebrate the birth of flight with Orville and Wilbur Wright’s
iconic glider which took its maiden tourney at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina on December 17,
1903. Combing Technic and brick-built techniques, please support and share this set so that it
can hopefully fly onto store shelves at a LEGO store near you!

I was inspired to design this set as I was surprised that there was no official model for the Wright
glider considering it is one of the most important and historically significant vehicles in modern
human history. I felt inspired to propose an Ideas set to hopefully help this iconic plane make it
off the ground, so to speak.

Features:
  • 294 pieces
  • A mini stand to hold the model.
