Help your fellow builder by leaving your feedback based on these three criteria:
- Originality: How original is this - never seen before?
- Building Techniques: How much skill do you think the creator of this MOC has, in terms of building technique?
- Details: Express how much you like the details of the build.
Your feedback is only shown to the creator as well as yourself. It is not available for other users to see. The creator won't see your user name.
Now the days get shorter and darker, at least in the Northern Hemisphere, but this does not mean you have to do without a little cozy and cheering light. This LEGO Festive Lantern will accompany you and bring some joy into your living room or bedroom. Just light it up with your choice of LED candle or fairy lights, and Santa and Rudolph will shine for you.
The LEGO Festive Lantern consists of roughly 800 bricks. The design of this classic lantern features some practical functions, like two simple fixtures in the hood if you should like to use LED fairy lights. An LED candle will stay in place in the middle of the lantern due to a guard put to the bottom of the lantern’s inner room.
Loving miniature builds, I incorporated two tiny builds on top of the hood. The red steam engine plus one wagon and Santa on his sleigh loaded with presents towed by one of his faithful reindeer make the lantern’s hood something special.
The LEGO Festive Lantern follows the idea of building and rebuilding. All four windows can easily be slid out. You can then build your own design and use the lantern all year round with varying displays. Check out the pictures for some ideas. The windows are 12 studs wide and 14 bricks high. To make this set a fun activity, some extra transparent bricks should be included.
