This is another framed art design with 36 x 24 (studs) dimensions.
One day earlier this year, when I was walking across a busy street at city center of Shanghai, I spotted an interesting view. The pedestrian walkway is elevated, but it still seems like a tunnel since there's another layer of highway overpasses above. The afternoon sunlight created dramatic contrast around the tunnel exit, and I discovered a blooming magnolia tree at far end too. I enjoyed the moment so much that I decided to capture it with LEGO bricks.
The challenges of reproducing that moment are mostly on perspective and contrast. Wedge plates of different angles are largely used to form leading curves. Red/Dark Red, Tan/Dark Tan, Green/Dark Green are used to demonstrate the colors in shadows and under sunlight. Figures can also be fun elements in this scene, i.e. one who walks into the tunnel leaves only a silhouette.
This design introduces new theme/topic and unique visual effects, can potentially be a good fit into the LEGO art squad.
