Taiwan Architecture & Landscape

"Have you ever traveled to Taiwan? If yes, you will recognize all the architecture in my design."

"Taiwan Architecture & Landscape" is an amazing model for celebrating "World Architecture Day" which falls on the first Monday of October each year. It's a day to appreciate the work of architects and their contributions to society and culture through the design and creation of buildings and spaces. The day also aims to raise awareness about architecture's role in sustainability, innovation, and improving the quality of life.

Taiwan is a home to so many beautiful architectural landmarks and architectural heritage. Taiwan architecture effectively conveys a sense of elegance, tradition, and modernity, making it excellent through my MOC model design with approximately 2,233 LEGO pieces. I gave the form to my design by blending its rich traditions with modern architectural innovation highlighting the fusion of old and new, emphasizing Taiwan's unique architectural landscape. I divided my model into three parts to highlight the different hierarchies of the architecture in the picture.

  • Part 1: Background - it presents the sky with sun, clouds, and air balloons.
  • Part 2: Architecture - it shows modern and traditional buildings, and high-speed rail system.
  • Part 3: Landscape - it shows the beautiful landscape area.

Based on the model, I have the high-rise modern buildings including Taipei 101, Nanshan Plaza, Sky Taipei, Tao Zhu Yin Yuan, TWTC International Trade Building, The Lin Hotel, Shr-Hwa International Tower, and Kaohsiung 85 Sky Tower. I also have the traditional architecture with the Grand Hotel Taipei, Red House, North Gate Taipei, National Palace Museum, LOHAS Park, Chihkan Tower, Dragon and Tiger Pagodas, and Love River. Moreover, I added Taiwan's high-speed rail system that uses clean energy for sustainable transportation to reduce environmental impacts.

In my model, we will explore the wonderful architecture and landscape from Taipei to Kaohsiung. Each building stands out with its unique color scheme: Taipei 101 with dark turquoise, Nan Shan Plaza with light bluish-gray, and Sky Taipei with green. This approach not only adds vibrancy to the urban landscape but also shows the different hierarchy of landmarks. I also designed this model which can hang on the wall or stand on the shelf and table for display.

My favorite part of the model is the power of giving form to architecture standing on one picture frame. I love that because it is a very thoughtful design to turn into a nice picture. We can experience so many details on each building and place in Taiwan like traveling from Taipei to Kaohsiung. I believe "Taiwan Architecture & Landscape" is a great LEGO MOC design to celebrate the creativity and ingenuity of architects and their contributions to shaping the built environment. It is also a nice gift for architects, designers, and travelers.

Hope you like my design!
