Deep within an alpine forest, in the northernmost kingdom, a Wolfpack garrison is gathered at the Outpost. With the help of a mercenary knight, they have captured an Elk-Clan soldier and are celebrating with a hardy feast. Can the prisoner escape the fort unnoticed by the guards and watchwolf?
This set idea is based in the medieval theme Wolfpack castles of oldendays, with some re-imagined features. I retained the classic small castle scale, but unfortunately I ran out of stone coloured pieces and had to make the gatehouse out of dark pine wood(which is readily available - the castle is situated in a pine forest!). I also have very few red pieces, so I shingled the roofs black and added red accents wherever I could. As always, I intended for this model to look good on display, hence the built-in black display base. Here is a list of all the Wolfpack Outpost's features:
-Build is 25cm wide, 25cm long, and 29cm tall.
-Castle has a porticullis, prison cell with breaking stone wall, watchtower with Wolfpack colours and a bonfire with a cooking spit.
-Terrain surrounding the castle includes a sparkling stream, rock formations, wild mushrooms, pine trees and other plants.
-Wolfpack Beastmaster, Wolfpack Warrior, Mercenary Knight and Elk-Clan Solidier minifugures with accessories.
-Wolf and falcon animal figures.
I think that this set would make a great addition to any medieval fans collection. The lego medieval theme is one of my favorites, and I love Wolfpack minifigures(and judging from the popularity of the one released in the Series 27 minifigures earlier this year, I think everyone else loves them too;). This set looks great on display, but it also has plenty of play opportunities!
