Design Background
This design started with a simple wheel design, my attempt to emulate the white-walled, spoke-laden tires of the classic car era, and turned into an obsession with capturing the minute details of a classic race car. I put this project on pause as I pivoted to designing my Hot Road Roadster design, and when that was complete, shifted back to finish this design. The shaping was the most challenging part of this build, with a sleek look overall, tapered back and sloped front, the build consists of pieces connected in numerous directions to achieve the final look.
I've spent many hours pouring over detailed images and have attempted to recreate as many 'core' features of the popular classic 1930's race cars.

- Removable engine cowling
- Removable brick-built engine
- Detailed interior, including seat, gear shifter and other mechanisms
- Nearly-studless design
- Built to LEGO strength and connection standards

Variety
This model is presented in black, but the potential varieties are countless - one could model the car in red with white highlights, or yellow with black, or any other combination of colors to truly make this design unique to the builder. The model was also designed to use tiles and panels that afford sticker application in numerous areas - a racing sticker on the sides would really highlight the heritage of this vehicle.
