Build the world’s best airport with bricks!
The Changi Airport control tower is an instantly recognisable icon to both locals and visitors to Singapore. Built in 1981, the airport has won more than 500 awards and is currently the world’s best as rated by Skytrax.
An official LEGO set of this beloved landmark will be timely for the opening of a massive $1.3-billion lifestyle hub, Jewel at Changi, in 2019.
This model provides a satisfying building experience befitting that of an Ideas set. The adult builder will appreciate the advanced techniques used on the dome, observation deck and tower.
Although much of the model is not a straightforward studs-up build, it is not a difficult build, and is designed to enable the builder to achieve a complex form with simple LEGO parts. No elements are subject to tension, and there are no “illegal” techniques used.
