"The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear!" -Buddy the Elf

Welcome to the North Pole...where there is lots of snow and smiling and singing! Or is that the toy department in Gimbel's? The movie Elf is a beloved holiday classic nearly 20 years old that has become a cultural phenomenon since its release in 2003. The movie tells the story of Buddy, a human raised at the North Pole by Santa's elves, who sets out on a journey to New York City in hopes of finding his real father and learning more about where he came from. Along the way, Buddy discovers the true joys of Christmas and spreads holiday cheer to everyone he meets.

"Then I traveled through the seven levels of the candy cane forest, past the sea of swirly, twirly gumdrops, and then I walked through the Lincoln Tunnel." - Buddy the Elf

With just around 900 pieces, this Ideas project is a festive representation of the snow globe that Papa Elf gifts to Buddy to aid him on his journey, featuring iconic scenes from the movie of Buddy's trip from the North Pole (where his friends Papa Elf, Santa, Leon the Snowman and Mr. Narwhal reside) all the way to New York City, where he finds a whole new family in Michael, Emily, and Walter Hobbs, along with Jovie, the department store worker who shares Buddy's affinity for elf culture.

The great thing about this set is that you aren't limited to just one way of setting up your snow globe! Each scene is detachable from the snow globe (it's only attached by a few studs!), which allows you to swap out scenes from the movie! Included are 4 dioramas, depicting Buddy's departure from the North Pole, Buddy's adventure in New York City, Buddy's date with Jovie at the ice skating rink at the Rockfeller Center, and the climactic scene in Central Park where Buddy has to help Santa with his sleigh! Swap out these dioramas as you see fit, or build you own diorama of the most iconic scenes in the movie!

Each diorama has a plethora of Easter eggs from the movie. For example, in the New York City diorama, some of the Easter eggs include the home of the world's best cup of coffee, the subway station where Buddy ignores Santa's advice ("If you see gum on the street, leave it there. It isn't free candy.") and the building where Walter Hobbs, Buddy's dad, works! See if you can spot all the Easter eggs from the movie!

"It's just nice to meet another human that shares my affinity for elf culture." -Buddy the Elf

The set includes 7 minifigures to populate the snow globe, (left to right) Buddy (Date), Walter Hobbs, Jovie, Buddy, Michael Hobbs, Leon the Snowman, and Santa. Each mini figure is highly detailed and accurate to the characters in the movie, making this the perfect collectible for any Elf fan.

Many of the figures come with their own accessory. For example, Buddy has a bottle of syrup, Michael has a snowball and Santa's list (with a naughty and nice list!), Jovie has scissors for making those 6 inch ribbon curls ("That's impossible!") and Walter has the yearbook photo of he and Susan Wells!

But that's not all - when you shake the snow globe, it comes to life with a flurry of "snow" particles, just like in the movie. So this festive holiday icon makes not only a great gift for fans of the movie, but it works as a real snow globe, something that we have never seen in Lego before at this scale!

With Elf quickly approaching its 20th anniversary, this would be the absolute perfect time to have a Lego tribute to this holiday classic! So grab your favorite cup of coffee, add some syrup, and let the holiday cheer begin! Don't wait - join me in bringing the joy of Elf to life! Together, we can make the holiday season a little brighter for everyone.
