City Billboards: Lego Universe and Red vs Blue

This project is a continuation of my City Billboards collection. So if you're familiar with my other boards, you'll notice they have an identical frame and the same dimensions. Billboards are a great way to add unique flair and personality to any LEGO city or diorama.

For the LEGO Universe logo, I knew I wanted to use 3 curved macaroni tiles to make the yellow minifig hand, and the curved arches fit perfectly around it. From the attached images and Studio 2.0 files, you can see the interesting building technique I used to connect this symbol to the rest of the board at a 90 degree angle. I also hoped to include lettering for the word "Universe" on the right side of the board. However, with the size of the logo on the left, there was simply no room for that 8-letter word. Instead, I put the LEGO Universe release date: October 26, 2010.

The Red vs Blue board is not from any existing LEGO theme, but I had the design laying around for a while and thought it would add some variety to this project.

So far, I'm really enjoying creating these billboards, so keep an eye out for more designs, and feel free to make suggestions in the comments!
