Dinosaur Dig Site

This is just a simple little model of two palaeontologists excavating the neck of a generic brachiosaurid. Included are a pickaxe, a chisel, and a brush, for excavating the fossil. Unlike the Fossil Museum, which seeks to capture the wondrous atmosphere of a museum, this small vignette has a more down-to-earth feeling, showing the scientists in the field.

This model is made as a display piece, with the centerpiece being the fossilized sauropod embedded in the rock. If desired, you could easily remove the fossil bones, but note that it is not designed with any way of posing the neck alone. Hopefully, this model will appeal to palaeontologists and palaeontology fans alike.
