The most recognizable faculty of TU Delft University, EWI. This 90 meters tall monument with 23 floors was build in 1969 and is visible in a wide area around Delft. It includes eleven lecture rooms, workshops and laboratories. EWI stands for Electro, Wiskunde (mathematics) and Informatica (computer science), the three studies that are located there.
EWI is also well known for having very strong winds around it, generated by the shape of the building. These winds blow bypassing students from their bikes sometimes.
