Welcome to Makoto Markets!
Bricksburg is a sprawling city of many architecture styles, themes, and colorful characters. Travel far enough in and you will find the Makoto Markets, a hot spot for commerce and bartering. Built with a fusion of Japanese and San Francisco architecture, this area of town is the perfect place to purchase a souvenir, grab a bite to eat, or meet some friendly faces.
On the ground floor of the leftmost building you will find Julie's Treasures. A shop of many vendors selling keepsakes to remember your visit to Makoto Markets. Travel to the second story to discover a photo studio, owned by professional photographer Maya. Many familiar faces have used Maya's services to capture special moments that will last a lifetime. Take the spiral staircase to the third floor to find Owen's apartment. While Owen may be a bit shy, he keeps his space neat and tidy, as well as having excellent taste in Modular Buildings.
If you're hungry, stop by Chef Kenji's Ramen Shop! Kenji is known for making the best ramen in town, as well as having exquisite dumplings. Order your food on the first floor, then take a seat upstairs and wait for Yuri the waitress to bring you your meal. Kenji and Yuri make quite a team with Yuri's friendly personality, and Kenji's "chefspertise." While this old oriental building does have an attic, you won't find much there except some old menus and dishes.
Lastly, the tall building on the right is Devin's townhouse. Devin is an amateur inventor with good ideas that are slightly ahead of their time. On the ground level is the garage in which he parks his scooter, as well as doing some tinkering on the workbench. Go upstairs and you will find Devin's workshop, where he primarily brainstorms and builds his ingenious inventions. Utilize the spiral staircase once more to reach Devin's bedroom, where he keeps most of his personal belongings. While Devin's creations have received little recognition, he keeps on doing what he loves, inventing. Little does he know that his next invention on the workbench will become a staple in future society.
Overall, Makoto Markets is a place rich with stories to discover. From the hanging lanterns to the waving banners, Makoto Markets is a testament to the deep culture and character of Bricksburg. Making a fine addition to any town, this building fits right in with others, as well as being an impressive centerpiece on its own.
