The Ariel Atom is lightweight British sports car with an exposed frame and open wheel design that is made for excellent acceleration and handling. At the time I designed this car, there was only a handful of models like it online. I wanted to male a realistic mini-figure scale design that is also inspired by the Speed Champions sets that are already available.
This car features an exposed chassis, that is actually structurally significant to the model itself. The model seats a single minifigure. The main goal was to make an accurate design that prominently featured the exposed chassis since it is perhaps the most visual element of the real life car.
