The Idea
Ever since I was a kid, the LEGO Pirates theme was my favorite. When LEGO produced the Barracuda Bay set I was very happy to relive those nostalgic moments. Today, I thought it would be great to create a set that matched the bay: the governor's fortress, inspired as much as possible by the characteristic Caribbean architecture of that time.
The Project
The fortress is built on the seashore and features two piers for mooring boats. It presents massive ramparts built on various levels, watchtowers, protective cannons and a crane for loading goods. There is also an armory, the governor's quarters and a prison with a secret exit.
