Hello, I am a LEGO fan from Hong Kong. The project is inspired by 'Garfield', a famous comic and animation from 1978. Hope you could like this idea I firstly submitted.
The comic and animation
'Garfield' is a comic and animation created by James Robert 'Jim' Davis. The story is talked about the daily life of Garfield, a lazy, gluttonous orange cat, Odie, a dog that is not very clever, and their owner Jon Arbuckle. They may have dispute, causing troubles, but they still love each other. Their relationship may not be like an owner and pets. They regard each other as their family members. That's why I like these characters.
The design of the LEGO Garfield
The project takes reference as the image of cat Garfield in the comic. There are several functions created in the design.
- Changeable face
- The face of Garfield could be easier to be changed to other faces. (In this set, I may only made one face for this project, I may add other face later) LEGO fans could create other faces shown in 'Garfield' series.
- Movable arms, hands, tail, legs and feet
- Stable and strong structure, all bricks design rather than sticker
- About the structure, I take reference from the strong structure and design of LEGO 31129. Almost all bricks connect by two holes. Therefore, LEGO Garfield could stand and sit stably, showing the actions LEGO fans would like to.
- Accessory: a TV remote controller would be included
The size of the LEGO Garfield

I sincerely hoped that the LEGO Garfield could be one of the LEGO set for different generations to know this interesting comic and animation. I would keep making change for this project to become comprehensive.
