The Purpose
If you want to give a touch of greenery to your home in a special, unique and mainly funny manner, why don't you create an urban greenhouse based on LEGO components?
This is why I've designed this LEGO set, to permit everybody to have fun with LEGO and Nature together, building a system able to grow all your REAL vegetables, plants, flower and fruits!
Working Principle
The Set I've designed forms an Aeroponic tower that through 2 peristalticpumps suck the water presents inside a tank and lift it till the top of the tower, using 2 hoses guided by the yellow forks present in the pictures. Then through a specific path the water drops down against the inner part of each pots, where are present the plants' root and then comes back to the lower reservoir tank, recoverying all the water and having zero waste.
All the cycle is controlled by the NX unit, so you have only to place the system in a brigth spot, fill in the lower reservoir with water and insert the plants in each pots, than switch on the system and start to shine, better start to grow your fresh vegetables and fruits
The unit regulate autonomously the time and the amount of water
SubGroups of the Main Assembly Set
-Lower Water reservoir tank, that permits to store the water necessary to grow the plants' roots
-Intermediate Block, that permits to have the slot where to insert the water
-UpperBlock, that permits to teh water to drops down
-8 Pots, where insert each plant
-2 Peristaltic pumps, to suck and lift up the water till the upperblock
-NX unit
-2 electrical connection, to control 2 pumps by the NX unit
-2 flexible hoses, used by the peristaltic pumps
Dimensions
The set is composed by 2606 parts
The dimensions of the tower is:
- Length 360[mm]
- Width: 360[mm]
- Heigth: 530[mm]
The system is modular, so if you add several Sets you can reach a cosniderable heigth for the tower, to grow several plants
