Based on the 2022 film version of the classic story, this set celebrates all things Matilda! A musical all about the power of children, storytelling, and imagination, this would make a perfect lego product!
It features Crunchem Hall, the school run by the formidable Agatha Trunchbull, complete with terrifying Chokey, as well as Mrs Phelps' mobile library.
The school is modular, meaning you can seperate the levels, and comes equipped with a security camera and megaphones to ensure Miss Trunchbull can maintain her strict regime.
On the ground floor you can find the main hall, with a very large chocolate cake on one of the tables, as well as the stone statue of Miss Trunchbull.
The upper floor contains Miss Honey's classroom, full of colour, and with 'Revolting' written on the blackboard, and Miss Trunchbull's office, with her surveillance equipment and sporting trophies.
The chokey is too narrow to sit or squat in, with children instead forced to stand among spiky nails and glass.
Contrastingly, the mobile library is much more welcoming, with it's accessible roof and open side full of colourful books.
The set features 9 minifigures from the film! They include:
- Matilda, our hero
- Agatha Trunchbull, the evil headmistress
- Miss Honey, the kindly teacher
- Bruce Bogtrotter, forced to eat an entire chocolate cake
- Mrs Phelps, the friendly librarian
- Lavender, Matilda's best friend and owner of Isaac the newt
- Nigel, one of Matilda's classmates
- Amanda, with pigtails that Miss Trunchbull use to swing her around
- Hortensia, popularly known as Red Beret Girl
Matilda is an uplifting musical and would make an excellent lego set for all ages.
