Feeling nervous? Not sure what to do with your hands? The Customizable Fidget Cube is here to help!
As a lifelong OCD/BFRB sufferer, I’ve come to appreciate little gadgets that keep my hands occupied. With the introduction of the LEGO curved corner brick piece, building a smooth, rounded LEGO cube is easier than ever! So I thought, why not use my hobby to create something helpful for myself? Thus, the Customizable Fidget Cube was born.
The cube comes with five customizable sides, each featuring a standardized slot into which one of ten included faces can be inserted for you to play with. The sixth side of the cube includes a push-and-rotate handle that activates an internal ejection mechanism, allowing the faces to be easily removed from the slots. Altogether, this gives you 30,240 possible face combinations if you fill all five slots, ensuring you’ll never get bored with your cube!
And to help you with storing all these interchangeable sides, there's a stand that can comfortably hold the 5 of them that are not installed in the cube at the moment, and can even hold the cube itself!
The cube combines a sturdy build with a smooth, touch-friendly surface, and the ten included standardized faces are designed to provide diverse, satisfying tactile stimuli. The moving parts include:
- Sprung buttons
- Cradle switches
- Intermeshed rotating gears
- Freely rotating gears
- Chain with a knob rotating around two gears
- Levers that move in opposite directions
- A four-way joystick
- Sliding knobs
- A smooth rotating knob
- A notched rotating knob
With so much variety, there’s enough here to keep your hands busy for as long as you need. So relax and put your hands somewhere useful—like on the SUPPORT button, for instance.
