Every Galaxy Explorer needs a Tracking Station!
Designed as a companion piece for set #10497 'Galaxy Explorer', this build is inspired by the Classic Legoland Space themed Tracking Station which accompanied the original 1979 starship.
Featuring a massive articulated tracking dish, a light brick illuminated detailed interior, opening front doors and rear maintenance deck, this build is a 360 degree play experience.
The set also includes a Re-Fueler Rig which transports the necessary potent explosive chemicals required to blast the Galaxy Explorer into the farthest reaches of space.
I built this Lunar Tracking Station as I grew up loving the Classic Lego Space theme during the 1980s. The blue and grey colour scheme with trans-yellow accents will always take me back to those days of building a huge Lego Lunar Station which dominated the family lounge room.
This Lunar Tracking Station is designed for those who love the Classic Lego Space theme and anyone wanting to expand their Classic Lego Lunar base.
