Welcome all half-bloods!
This set is based on the Disney show, Percy Jackson and The Olympians.
Important Notes
When you open the set up, it swings from right to left. This will show you the interior of the cabin and a little mount on the left along with the front door and some small details.
There's multiple aspect of this set that refer to different parts/events that take place within the story. I wanted to pay homage to Percy's quest by showing where his epic will take him by showcasing the Oracle scene in the attic. Although the scene doesn't actually take place in the cabin at all, it only felt right to place it in the "attic" of the cabin to give the set some character and story depth.
The mount on the left side shows off three important items from the show/book. These three items include: Annabeth's Hat, Riptide in Pen form, and the Minotaur's horn. The program I used for this didn't have the ideal horn piece (I wanted to use the Tauntaun's horn) so I settled on the closest and biggest horn piece that would fit.
The set includes 3126 pieces.
Characters
This set includes 4 minifigs:
- Percy
- Annabeth
- Grover
- Chiron
About
This set was made from pure nostalgia. When the news came out about the show it brought back a lot of memories from when I was younger and I knew I wanted to do something. If anything this was more of a passion project for the past month and a half.
Why would this be a good set?
Lego is about connecting and learning, what better way to do that than to bridge two generations of fans together. You have the ones that grew up reading the books, watched the movies and now you have the ones who are being introduced to the media via the Disney show. The entire story itself is about learning who you are and accepting yourself. For me personally, it's a match waiting to happen.
Thanks for stopping by!
