This is a model of the Ariane 5 rocket. The Ariane 5 is a heavy-lift rocket that was used to carry payloads into orbit And has been one of the most successful unmanned spacecrafts in history. It was the rocket that was used to launch the Rosetta probe, which was sent to land on an asteroid, as well as the James Webb Space Telescope.
This model had been designed on minifigure scale. It has almost 3000 pieces and is roughly 1 meter tall. The boosters can be disconnected and the stages taken apart. The fairing can be removed to reveal a small James Webb Space Telescope as its payload. It is made with all the details in mind for maximum display value.
I designed this model in honour of the fact that the Ariane 5 has been retired last year. It was an amazingly successful rocket and as such, I think it deserves to be turned into a Lego model. It would fit in nicely along with the Saturnus V rocket, the Space Shuttle and the recently announced Artemis rocket. I hope that this model will make it to 10.000 votes, so the Ariane 5 gets the spot it deserves in the Lego Space series.
