My take on a classic. Inspired by the music boxes that have triggered the imaginations of children for generations, the mechanical music box is a fully animated contraption that comes alive at the turn of a handle. It features dancing mechanised music notes on the sides of the box, as well as a spinning central plateau upon which three musicians and a fully pose-able ballerina twirl. Each respective musician plays their own instrument - all using unique mechanisms to achieve a scene which is lively and fun, spurring anyone who watches to join in with a dance or tune of their own. I hope that this is enjoyed by children and adults alike. (originally a contest entry for "music to our ears")
