Amelia Earhart is arguably the most famous female aviator in history. In 1932, she became the first woman to fly nonstop solo across the Atlantic Ocean.

This is a 353 piece, 1/36 scale model of the plane she piloted during this famous flight - the Lockheed Vega 5B.

I have done my best to accurately capture as many details as possible while keeping the build at a reasonable scale, complexity, and durability. The propeller spins, the wheels turn, and the canopy can be removed to seat a minifigure in the cockpit.

As it stands, 9 pieces will require a print or sticker in order to capture the gold decorations on each side of the fuselage. I have loosely placed them on their respective parts, but I trust The LEGO Group to do a better job aligning them, should the model be produced.

I have no skill in designing minifigures, but the set is intended to include Amelia Earhart.

If you would like to see this famous aircraft as an official set, please support and share! Thanks for looking!
