Headquarters of Slovak Radio Bratislava

I'm architect and I love LEGO, from my childhood I was constructing some building from bricks. The idea to build some iconic Slovak building was long time in my head. I'm  introducing my first MOC.

This is model of Building of Slovak Radio, located in Slovak capital city - Bratislava. Authors of this project were architects Štefan Svetko, Štefan Ďurkovič and Barnabáš Kissling.

The building is occupying a city block in close to center. Construction began in 1967 and the whole project was completed in 1983. Regular broadcasting was started on 27 March 1985. The building consists of several parts and the most impressive part is shaped of inverted pyramid. The main structure and skeleton are made of steel and the core of reinforced concrete. The height is 82,64 m within steel pylon.

At the end of 2017 was declared the national cultural monument.

Model in LEGO scale consist of height-raised building and modified platform. The construction of inverted pyramid starts from third level. This model respects main spaces inside of the building and lightening of inner parts though windows on 11th level. The building consist of 2888 pieces and platform of 111 pieces.
