Galileo Galilei has been described as the father of modern science, so perhaps you'll forgive me if not all of this observatory is quite 17th century.
Galileo's support of the hypothesis that the world revolves around the sun was revolutionary in his time. The Roman inquisition declared him a heretic and put him under life-long house arrest.
Luckily in this cosy lego observatory he has everything he needs to continue his studies.
For playability the roof has a notch to allow for easy removal. The back walls unusually open down the middle, hinging outwards to reveal walls covered in constellations.
Here Galileo is joined by Sestilia his assistant, who later became his daughter in law.
