Ski Chalet

Welcome to the Ski Chalet! It's a place where everyone can go, relax, and have fun!

The Chalet
The chalet is packed with details to explore. On the first floor, you can find a games room filled with activities. The second floor has a living room, dining room, and kitchen, while the top floor has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom.

Exterior:
The chalet sits on a rock formation, which was built using a variety of slopes and curves, which were placed on their side using SNOT bricks. Massive windows litter the exterior of the chalet, allowing plenty of natural light inside. Many of these windows also act as doors so that minifigures can walk onto the balconies. In front of the bottom floor's outdoor seating area is a place where skis and snowboards can be stored when not in use. This stand was built with bar and claw elements. Finally, icicles hang from the roof and the balconies to further the winter theme of the build.

Games Room:
The games room is filled with activities for anyone to enjoy. There is a billiards table in the middle, a darts board on the back wall, a TV, and also a fish tank. If you are a bit peckish, there is a bar which seats 3 where you can have a snack or drink.

Kitchen:
As you travel up the stairs in the games room, you enter the kitchen area, which has all of the tools needed to cook up a 5-star dinner. There is an oven complete with a stove and cooker hood and also plenty of storage for cutlery and plates.

Dining Room:
Next to the kitchen is the dining room, which has a table which seats 4 people. The room also has some of the easiest access to the balcony in the front.

Living Room:
The living room is cozy, as it has 2 plush arm chairs which are right next to a fireplace so that you can warm up after a great ski day. On top of the fireplace is a clock. Additionally, along the back wall, there is a book case as well as a lamp.

Master Bedroom:
As it's right next to the massive windows, the master bedroom has some of the best views, as there are floor-to-ceiling windows and also triangular windows above those. Inside of the room there is a comfy red bed complete with 2 night stands, a fireplace, a dressing room, and a bathroom. Additionally, the bedroom also contains a chandelier, which was built out of multiple wagon-wheel pieces.

Small Bedroom:
To the left of the master bedroom is the second, smaller bedroom of the house. This room has a small bed, night stand, and also a dresser in the corner.

Why I built it?
The inspiration for this set came when I was skiing past beautiful chalets lined next to the trail that I was skiing on. I really liked the modern design with the massive windows and I decided to recreate it in LEGO pieces.

Why I believe it would make a great LEGO set
This set would be a great display piece for adults who love to ski and snowboard. Additionally, children would also enjoy playing with the minifigures by creating stories with them. The modular floors allows for easy access to the set, allowing anyone to delve further into storytelling.

The Ski Chalet contains 2782 pieces and 7 minifigures.
