This rustic log cabin is the perfect place to get away! With a fireplace and a chimney, even the cold days can be warm and cozy! Checkered quilts on the beds, and a tablecloth help to make the atmosphere feel inviting. When friends come to visit for the afternoon, it's all the merrier!

There are almost 900 pieces in this model, 4 minifigures, a dog, a cat, a bird, and a fish. There is a flame in the fireplace, and openings in the chimney to let smoke out. There are seven windows, two on all sides, except the front, which has a door and a window, instead of two windows.

I got the inspiration for this set from a couple of my family members. I designed it to look like an actual log cabin. The chimney and the quilts are my favourite parts of the cabin. The chimney had to look like a chimney, have a spot to let the smoke come out, and connect to the fireplace on the inside of the house. The quilts were made to make it seem like something from the time of Laura Ingalls Wilder.

This model is a little more modern than Laura Ingalls, as can be told by the clothing of the minifigures. The visitors are "cow folk", coming to see their friends on a nice summer day. There is a snack, and an afternoon of talking and relaxing ahead.
