Shark Tank - The Lego Set

As Mr. Wonderful would say "Ici wawa carumba!" The Shark Tank lego set is finally here everyone and it is ready to push your imagination further! This is the set that opens the door to your customization and dreams. Choose your 5 favorite sharks to present to, invent your business pitch, and make your entrepreneur. Will it be you standing on the carpet with your favorite shark? It may just become your own piece of inspiration.

Why a Shark Tank set?:

Shark Tank has grown into an ultra inspiring global phenomenon over the years. It has totally changed my life from the consistent inspiration of seeing people birth ideas into reality and achieve their dreams, which I know it has done for many others. It is also just a great and balanced television show. It is always educational; it can make me laugh in one pitch, then be a total tearjerker in the next, and you still get that occasional punch of spicy drama so many of us love in a reality tv show. Most important of all though, is what it does beyond the entertainment, which is the way it has changed numerous lives on so many different levels for the better. Therefore, this build is to honor all that Shark Tank has done from inspiring products and services that have changed the world, to helping businesses and employment, or even just inspiring singular people to revolutionize their own lives by chasing their dreams like myself!

Rather than take up the carpet with my own pitch or recreating a famous scene from the show, I felt the best way to carry on the spirit of creativity that both Shark Tank has helped foster and that Lego's instilled in me in my early childhood was by leaving the carpet open ended for everyone to set up their own pitch to the Sharks. So I ask, what business do you want to ~build~ in your future? The carpet is all yours.

The Set and its Details:

It does not look like that big of a set due to the lack of big walls and its overall openness, but this surprisingly comes out to around 1,000 pieces! One of my favorite things about this set actually is that overall simplistic appearance, with my favorite detail being simply the flooring and carpet. The wood tiles give the set a pristine and clean look that almost begs it to remain a display set after building. On the other hand, I could totally envision buying this set purely for the interesting array of pieces I could use to build other things after finishing the initial build. The other part I love is the little corridor walking in with one of the little water ponds that famously line the full hallway in to the room and what would the tank be without the classic shark tank aquarium itself right above!

Do not be fooled by its simplistic appearance though. There were quite a few design challenges and a few hidden technical spots within the build. My favorite being the wall with the windows, which actually turned out to be very tough. I definitely built that quite a few different ways before it looked both clean and on point with the show. The chairs were another part of this set that went through multiple iterations before I got them to match the wood and white covering to the chairs on the show. I do not want to give all the fun away though. I will let you find out the rest when you get the chance to build it for yourself! When it was all said and done I ended up loving the symmetry of the elements within the set and how relatively close it matches up to the main area of the television set for the most recent season.

Potenital Mini-figures:

The tank does would not feel complete though without its six biggest stars. I did my best to try to recreate them and show them off as the potential mini-figures of this set, they are as follows:

The casually well dressed tech shark - Mark Cuban
The real estate queen - Barbara Corcoran
The fashion king - Daymond John
Mr. Wonderful, The lover of cash flow - Kevin O'Leary (with money accessory)
The hero or zero spotter - Lori Greiner (with her golden ticket as an accessory)
The cyber security shark that always perks up when the cool toys arrive - Robert Herjavec

Closing Note:

The process of designing and building this set was a joyful challenge. I really hope you all get to share in that joy of building it one day and are able to show off your creativity in designing a product pitch for your set. Perhaps the visualization will be the initial seed of bringing a future business idea to the world! Thank you for checking this page out and if you decide to vote I greatly appreciate that support. Let's bring this dream into reality!
