The M:Tron Faction
Known for their expertise with search, rescue and repair operations; their highly advanced technology that they employed was coveted amongst the other space factions. At one point the Blacktron faction were caught trying to steal tech from M:Tron no doubt to reverse-engineer and create tech with devious purposes. Little is known about the M:Tron faction but I can tell you from personal experience that they were far more advanced in Mining than any other of their known skill sets.

The citizens of the M:Tron faction collectively became obsessed with the neon crystals that could be found throughout the galaxy they lived in. They developed many machines to be deployed in search of the illustrious neon green material yielded from the crystals. You may have noticed that during their appearance in the Lego world; that many of the spacecrafts throughout the terrestrial space faction used the neon green material for many purposes. This material had great structural integrity although being transparent like glass. Sure the neon green glow is appealing to the eye, but it could withstand the harsh environments of deep space and the extreme weather conditions of both magma and ice worlds that were explored.

They set up many moon-based colonies to search, extract, and refine the neon green crystalline material and through their efforts they were greatly rewarded financially.

The Mega Crystal!
An amazing find! A gigantic neon crystal cluster that even has a super rare dark green node both protruding from the core of a lunar mountain. This crystal has a massive amount of value to the M:Tron citizens. The Mega Excavator will be making many trips back to this location to extract and haul away an amazing payload that can be used for a vast amount of purposes. A very fantastic find, this crystal is different than most found. It illuminates! (There are 2 Lego Light Bricks [54930c02] that have push buttons that cause the larger and smaller green crystals to illuminate when actuated. It would be best if the standard LED was replaced with a Green LED)

The M:Tron Mega Excavator

A 3-part vehicle that can amphibiously travel all terrain where the neon crystals were located. Mostly found in craters or mountainous regions, the M:Tron Mega Excavator could traverse the alien surfaces in order to get to the coveted neon green crystal clusters. The vehicle has 3 main parts and when connected together it's basically a mech-caterpillar-looking-vehicle:

M:Tron Mega Rover:
The front section of the Mega Excavator is the Mega Rover, an AWD powerhouse that has heavy duty wheels able to traverse the most extreme surfaces at high speeds but also almost zero distance between wheels makes for a very agile rover; essential to being the leading force driving the Excavator section and Trailer Bin section of the Mega Excavator.

M:Tron Excavator and Claw Assy.
The middle section of the Mega Excavator is the specialized labor force of this machine. With powerful diamond bit chainsaw, and colossal claw arm, everything with extraction can be performed. This includes breaking the neon green crystals from a cluster or from the moon surfaces they breach out from. The claw arm then can be utilized to pickup the crystals and finally be moved for storage in the last section of the Mega Excavator.

M:Tron Trailer Bin
The final section of the Mega Excavator carries the most important material to the M:Tron citizens; the neon crystals they seek. The trailer can hold up to 2 regular sized crystals or 1 large crystal.

So there you have it, the M:Tron Search-and-Extract Mining Expedition with M:Tron Mega Excavator could be a reality for you like it is for me already. Yes, I have built it at my laboratory and performed functional tests to make sure it's playworthy. I Have ensured that the claw will pick up those crystals. I have ensured that the chainsaw excavator will break away the crystals from their mounting points. I have ensured that the rover can pull and not tip over the sections or payload when going over extreme terrains (my cat's back) and I have ensured that the Light Bricks properly illuminate the crystal cluster. It cannot be used efficiently as a night light with a standard light brick, because the battery life will only put out 10-15hrs of LED illumination before becoming too dim to qualify as a night light, however it does perform satisfactory as a push button light to use when desired and in this style of use it will last an extremely long time.
I hope you enjoyed looking over this M:Tron project wish me luck I hope this one becomes a reality for everyone outside of my house :)
