The Shoe House

This is a semi-recreation of a real-life shoe house in York, Pennsylvania called "The Haines Shoe House". My film class and I made a short film there because it's such a unique setting for a film. The story actually involved the use of LEGO bricks and I figured I should submit it as an idea.

The real-life house is quite cramped, so the LEGO version reflects that. If I were to recreate every aspect of the house exactly, the LEGO version would become way to large. Trust me, I tried. There were way too many pieces. So, I shrunk it down and maintained the important details. Plus, like I said, the smaller version of this helps keep the cramped vibe that the actually shoe house has.

I kept a few key items and layout features that the real-life shoe house has. The record player in the living room, the curved bench in the kitchen, and even a photo (that should be of the house itself) above the bed. The clock in the bedroom is there because my film class' story for the film revolved around time and the concept of days repeating. I kept the rooftop quite similar since people can actually go up there.

This went through many revisions and I'm sure it can go through many more before looking good enough to, possibly, become an actual set or to look like the actual shoe house.

This build has just over 750 pieces.

Since this is my first time submitting an idea, any thoughts, comments, opinions, and especially criticism is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
