LEGO DJ-Turntable

Hey Everybody,

This is my motorized LEGO version of the DJ-Turntable Technics SL 1200 MK II. This state-of-the-art turntable is the most used DJ setup in clubs all over the world until today.

I challenged myself to build this using only bricks from the 1989 Batmobile, and it worked, so you can call it a B-Model.
This is why it looks rough and studded, which I think fits very well for this old school legend.
The only additional parts are power functions, a light brick and the biggest LEGO cogwheel I could get to keep the record at quite a normal speed.
The light brick symbolizes the power switch, and you can extend the light to point the needle exactly onto the ridge.
Instead of usual turntables, the Technics MK II has a direct drive and so has my creation. The record would be 10' in real life.

I have been a DJ for 22 years (not yet famous ;)) and play only vinyls, so my childhood dream and my favorite hobby melted in this LEGO Turntable.

The art of DJing started with the Technics MK II. It took (and still takes) lots of practice and patience to control and play as a DJ, but with this turntable, everybody can be a DJ! The model has about 1,200 pieces.

Dear Music and LEGO Fans, I hope you will support me, much love and peace!
