Firstly, allow me to tell you about myself and my process of reaching this idea. First and foremost, I am no designer or engineer and I haven't played with lego for at least 20 years. This is my first time using such a program, so I don't entirely know all the pieces that would fit best and how to make all my ideas go to life. For example, I wanted to do a fireplace and chimney and just couldn't seem to find the right pieces. So I've tried to convey my idea the best as possible for you guys to visualise.
So here's my story, my son is just about to turn 4 and he's really started to fall in love with the "big boy" lego and his passion for it really reignited my love for the art that is Lego. We grab all my big totes of old lego and started building so many random things together. That night when we were reading bed time stories, I started to think about all the possibly amazing Lego sets that could be made from these wonderful stories. After the little one went to sleep, I did some research and was absolutely stunned to find that there is no Hansel and Gretel Lego set, so I decided to take it upon myself to visualise a possible prototype.
This set has 273 pieces and has a fully functioning drop down rear wall!
Now, prepare to immerse yourself!
Imagine you’re lost in a dark, spooky forest. Now wait, what’s that!? A glistening lollipop? A sparkling gum drop? The smell of fresh gingerbread? Are your eyes deceiving you? You may be living out every child’s dream, you have stumbled across a house made entirely out of candy! What could possibly go wrong?
The world renowned story, that teaches children a lesson far greater than any other story. Don’t trust strangers.
I can’t imagine a more perfect piece to add to anybodies Lego fairytale village.
Just imagine, your child asking you for a bedtime story and you respond by saying “why don’t we build our story and live it out for real?”
What better way to share old memories and to teach life lessons to your child than to play with a Lego set based on one of the most renowned stories ever written?
