This is the original Nintendo Game Boy, 8-Bit handheld game console [1989].
I built this because my son (like many other young kids) is obsessed with gaming devises. Especially vintage consoles. He wanted to have his own and I no longer have mine. It just feels awesome to hold an original Game Boy made out of Lego.This would make a great set because people my age (38ish) grew up with Lego and Nintendo, and we are a very nostalgic generation. Fortunately we have passed this on to our children who are fascinated with our childhood toys. Everyone who lays eyes upon this Lego Game Boy falls in love with it. People tell me all the time that they would buy this if it were a set. All this possitive feedback has inspired me to submit this build to Lego Ideas.
