It is my pleasure to introduce the French Quarter Modular!
The French Quarter Modular is multi-purpose building assembled with actual bricks on a 32x32 baseplate, stands 34.29 cm (13.5 in) tall, and constructed of 2,997 LEGO elements. This set includes eight minifigures and a cool cat. The building’s facade takes inspiration from Caribbean, French, Spanish, Baroque, and Creole architecture—common features of any picturesque French Quarter building you would see today.
Ground Floor (cafe): The French Quarter Modular is home to the ever popular Crescent City Cafe. This world class cafe has friendly service, a natural courtyard setting, and fresh baked goods that attract customers from near and far.
First Floor (apartment): Head up the staircase to the open-air-breezeway on the 1st floor that expands to a wraparound balcony. The 1st floor also includes a studio apartment that is right in heart of all the action.
Second Floor (art studio & flower shop): The stairs on the rear balcony of the 1st floor lead to the top floor where you will find two of the finest establishments the French Quarter has to offer…Bric-a-Brac Gallery and the Garden District. Bric-a-Brac Gallery has been a prominent art studio in the community for decades and inspires art lovers from around the world. Right next door is the Garden District, a locally owned floral shop that hosts a relaxing atmosphere to pick a plant that is just right for you.
Third Floor (attic loft): The attic, which can be accessed via a pull-down ladder in the rear stairwell, has relics left behind from yesteryear. The attic roof can open vertically to promote overhead observation and play. And, in true French Quarter spirit, this building is said to be haunted by a ghost who hangs around.
LEGO has produced iconic modular buildings over the years, and I would Iove for a fan design to join the ranks of such great builds. I believe the French Quarter Modular will be a remarkable addition based on its unique design, innovative features and incredible build experience.
The world famous New Orleans French Quarter is a magical place, and I wanted to share my adaptation of this vibrant culture for all LEGO fans to enjoy! Please support if you want French Quarter Modular to reach Achieved Support ! And, as they say in the French Quarter…Laissez les bons temps rouler! (Let the good times roll!)
Thank you,
