Le Fantôme de l'Opéra
The Phantom of the Opera is a novel by French writer Gaston Leroux. It was published in volume form in April 1910 by Pierre Lafitte. The novel is partly inspired by historical events at the Paris Opera during the XIX century. Nowadays, it is overshadowed by the success of its various stage and film adaptations. The most notable of these are the1925 film depiction and Andrew Lloys Webber's 1986 musical.
You can read all about the plot here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Phantom_of_the_Opera
The set
This set can be perceived as a whole or as several parts. it is composed of a stage, 6 balcony buildings, 1 royal balcony and the regular house seats.
Initially I was only aiming to do one stage and a balcony build. But decided to present a possible result by combining several sets.
Ideally this would be the final result but you should be aware that LEGO might decide to minimize this set in order to make it feasible for prodcution. Take that under consideration when voting. Thanks
Features
Besides being able to separate the theatre into several parts, you can also play with the minifigures wither on stage or in the balconies. Also the background can be switched so you can play other scenes accordingly to your imagination - Just use the right plaques to make a countryside scene or a deep space adventure :D Also use the chains to raise and lower the background or recreate a royal attendance to the theatre by filling the main gallery with a king and queen.
The playability is huge and so is the display potential.
Hope you like this, vote and share it with your friends. Thanks!
