Mars Pathfinder

Take Mars to your very own desktop with this essential to any space fan set! This set is the Mars Pathfinder probe and Sojourner rover with a small Martian-surface base. The solar panels of Pathfinder can fold up so you can re-create the landing of this historic lander.

The Pathfinder lander was launched from Earth in December 1996, landing on the surface in July of 1997 to perform the most in depth inspection of the Martian surface and atomosphere at the time. The mission lasted a total of 85 days on the surface with contact being lost in September of 1997. The lander and rover still rest on the Martian surface, now renamed the Carl Sagan memorial station.
